Ahmadiyya beliefs about Quran questionedBy The Publishers · < 1 minread

“A prerequisite for any constructive dialogue is that both communities should not learn about each other through sources that are unsympathetic, critical, or even hostile: they should rather try to formulate an honest idea as to how the other faith is seen in its own authentic scriptures and as practiced by those who are truly committed to it.”[1]

The team at ChristianityExplained.net unanimously agrees with Dr Jamal Badawi’s view on how Christians and Muslims should relate with each other. Therefore, the following questions are directed to Ahmadiyya Muslims and based on quotes made by their own leaders, the Quran and the hadith. It is hoped that these questions and future answers given in response to them will contribute towards a better understanding between the two communities.

The two main differences between the Roman Catholic Church and the Evangelical ChurchBy The Publishers · < 1 minread

Evangelical Followers of Jesus Christ and Roman Catholics have many things in common, such as the belief in Trinity, the divinity of the Lord Jesus Christ, the sinfulness of man and humanity and being hopelessly lost without the work of Jesus on the cross.
However, two main differences are of such importance that they need to be considered issues of eternal life and death. Who do you think is right and why?

Quran unchanged – Really?By The Publishers · < 1 minread

Muslims generally believe about their Holy Book:

“Not one word of its 114 chapters, Suras, has been changed over the centuries, so that the Quran is in every detail the unique and miraculous text which was revealed to Muhammad fourteen centuries ago.”

Such statements are based on these promises of Allah in the Quran:

“Indeed, it is We who sent down the Qur’an and indeed, We will be its guardian.” (Surah 15:9)

In order to avoid the logical fallacy of circular reasoning – I believe the Quran is unchanged because the Quran says it is unchanged – this belief needs to be supported by evidence outside the Quran. Does it measure up with the facts?

Dr Daniel Brubaker convincingly argues that this is not the case in his book, “Corrections in Early Qurʾān Manuscripts: Twenty Examples” published on 21 May 2019. Read on to see the evidence for yourself.

Easter and IslamBy The Publishers · 2 minread

Easter and Islam

Crucial Cross Conversation

The main point of Easter is remembering the death and celebrating the resurrection of Jesus Christ. These world changing events are confirmed by the following overwhelming evidence:

They are mentioned by oral tradition from eye witnesses, dated not later than three years after the crucifixion.

They were written down within about 20 years of the actual events.

They were foretold by many prophecies in the Torah hundreds of years before their fulfilment.

They were mentioned by early, non Christian historians in their writings found outside the Bible.

They are the main reason why the movement of followers of Jesus survived and thrived the first 300 years.

They are the main reason countless people give why their lives are being totally changed for the good.

They are incredible! Why would anybody have made them up and how?

Therefore it comes as a huge surprise to find only one unclear verse in the Quran, written about 700 years after the actual events, that apparently denies the death of Jesus! Moreover, it contains other verses that seemingly confirm it.

Read on to find detailed proof and references for the seven pieces of evidence and the statements regarding the Quran.
Why did Jesus have to die and raise again to life?

This is arguably one of the most important questions. The answer can only begin to be understood by the one to whom God reveals the absolutely dreadful seriousness of sin. God’s devastating verdict about sin begins to make sense only in light of His revealed Holiness, and Love and the definitions for sin and salvation given in the Bible. However, as can be seen in the article, Islam describe them in a radically different way. Muslims need to urgently ask themselves: “Why is the Quran poles apart from the united testimony in the Torah, Zabur and Injil about these crucial concepts?”

Furthermore, the article will also address these Muslim objections in detail:

Sacrifices for sin were abrogated in the Quran
Sin cannot be transferred to another
The Bible has been changed

Manchester attack: Question Time debates ‘Didsbury Mosque’ leaflet

A Question Time audience member has claimed he was handed an anti-Western leaflet at Didsbury Mosque in Manchester.

The mosque was previously attended by the father of Salman Ramadan Abedi, the man who carried out Monday’s bomb attack.

However, a spokesman for the Didsbury Mosque has said the leaflet was not printed by the mosque and did not carry its name, but admitted that unauthorised leaflets are sometimes left by people who are not affiliated with them.

The mosque has also condemned the attack, saying “cowardice has no place in our society”.
